This has been in my WIP folder for a long time. I've been wanting to paint a scene like this again for a long time. I researched castles in the Czech Republic and couldn't decide, so I photobashed them together and created a matte painting as a basis. My main inspiration was a mix of romanticism and impressionism, mainly cause I want to lead the eye instead of painting highly detailed rocks in the distance. Shapes and colours!
